Chapter 3

“Jinji, Jinji, Jinji!” Gaspar and Alessandro call out as they lead the party of Ghost Pokémon to the mansion’s study on the top floor. As they spill through the doorway, the distinctive-looking Gengar is already standing to face them, a worried look on his face as he hears the rushing movements and panicked voices of his friends.

Phantisserie is the first to catch her breath. “Master Jinji, come outside quick! Something terrifying has happened!”

Immediately, Jinji’s ears raise, and he’s put on high alert. “Where?”

“The courtyard!”, Phantisserie hurriedly responds.

Jinji wastes no further time, utilizing his ghostly abilities to phase through the mansion’s front wall and emerge in midair above the courtyard. Noticing almost immediately the strange, floating hole, Jinji heads to get a closer look, the rest of the mansion’s residents following behind him.

Jinji peers into the strange distortion in what was previously just empty air in his courtyard. As he does so, he finds himself staring at a strange, wood-panelled room, unrecognizable to him, with a cauldron just a few steps in front of his current line of sight. Then, suddenly, he becomes aware of two figures staring back from the other end of the room… a Braixen and a Delphox…

Jinji’s horrified gasp is soon echoed by the other Ghost Pokémon as realization begins to take hold.
