Comic Description & Plot Outline

A St. Patrick’s Day gift from Cat (https://www.deviantart.com/silverbettaCCT), who then worked with me on dialogue and posing etc, resulting in a brand-new adventure between Jinji and Aadvay!

As someone who absolutely loves green, St. Patrick’s Day is Aadvay’s favourite holiday and the one time of the year he truly gets to enjoy making a huge mess! Knowing how Jinji loves green and mess too, Aadvay goes to meet up with him, believing that Jinji will have planned something great for the holiday. Unfortunately, it turns out Jinji has completely forgotten! Aadvay considers this unacceptable, and Jinji is soon apologizing profusely, promising to make it up to him. Suddenly, however, Aadvay gets a devious idea…

References

  • Aadvay refers to Jinji’s green tongue as a “permanent” part of Jinji, even though, according to his official reference, it’s unknown whether the colour actually is permanent or not. Being fair to him, though, he’s never seen Jinji without it. Nor have most people, actually…
  • Jinji talking about how he “wears green most days” is a joke reference to how almost all of his and his fellow Ghost’s pranks result in him getting covered in slime, which is typically green-coloured.
  • Jinji’s line, “Would you look at all the muck in here?”, is a direct reference to “Look at all the muck in ‘ere!”, the catchphrase made famous by the late, great, British television host Larry Grayson on The Generation Game.
  • A version of this comic posted by Cat herself on her DeviantArt originally featured a slightly different opening. Prior to Aadvay choosing to celebrate with Jinji, he first approaches and/or considers other characters from within Cat’s own universe. This opening was removed and replaced with all-new title artwork when the decision was made to make this comic part of the Jinjiverse. The story itself remains unchanged, and both versions of the opening can be seen on the original deviation link.
