Some people believe Misdreavus are screaming banshees; others suggest they’re more like siren ghosts. Whatever you believe, Celeste is very likely to both support and challenge your views. This mysterious Misdreavus glides through Jinji’s mansion, keeping a watchful eye over things and helping to maintain order whenever Jinji is too preoccupied to do it himself. Her typical speaking voice is calm and quiet, almost whispered, and her charm and guile can open up even the most hard-hearted and heavy-headed person. But don’t think she’s some delicate flower! Celeste is also skilled at stamping authority, and can take charge of any situation that requires it, switching on a dime to a loud and commanding tone that one is advised never to defy. These two distinct voices and personality styles are well-honed, allowing Celeste to control almost any situation — which is why Jinji employs her as the Audience Wrangler for his Ghoulish Games, relying on her to get the crowd seated and settled. Even during the show, she will often take a leadership role over the backstage crew of Ghost Pokémon, to keep the show running smoothly.

In her personal life, Celeste is a deeply curious spirit. Mysteries and secrets deeply intrigue her, leading her to regularly ask questions and seek answers. Enigma values her strongly for these traits, finding them a good complement to his skills in both creating and solving puzzles and locks; and Jinji himself also considers her a reliable ally.

First Appearance

While a Misdreavus named Celeste was briefly mentioned in Chapter 4 of Equilibrium: First Contact, the character herself did not formally debut until the publication of Jinji’s Ghoulish Games on Halloween, 2025.
