Jinji and Zain weren’t the only invitees to Mallow’s Party. Back at the entrance to the dump, a few hours after the explosion, a group of several other Poison Pokémon have began to gather. Each had received an identical invitation from Mallow, except that their cards requested their attendance by 2pm – Mallow had written Jinji’s invitation to encourage him to come early as part of the trick.

With the rest of the guests oblivious as to what has been occurring earlier in the day, the Poison Pokémon start looking over their invitations. 2pm has passed, and there is no sign of their Garbodor buddy.

Suddenly, a foul stench starts wafting towards the group; and a shadow begins to appear on the horizon. The Poison Pokémon all smile and prepare to welcome their garbage-heap friend.

As the figure gets closer, however, the Pokémon are surprised to see that, instead of the familiar recognizable shape of a Garbodor, it appears to be the spiky shadow of a Gengar coming towards them! The Poison Pokémon exclaim with shock as Jinji the Gengar emerges from the distance, covered in filth and smelling almost as bad as their buddy!

As the Poison Pokémon react with confusion at the unexpected, smelly guest in front of them, their attention is stolen by a second, equally foul stench.

A short distance behind Jinji, Mallow the Garbodor finally emerges, to the delight of his guests.

Their delight, however, is short lived. As Jinji and Mallow stand beside each other, their individual toxic odours combine into a single, mega malodorous miasma, causing even the most hardy of the Poison Pokémon to react with disgust.

The double hit of extremely toxic stenches provesto be too overwhelming for some of the younger and less hardier of the Poison-types, who are quickly knocked unconscious. From the crowd, Jinji hears a cry of “P.U! Is this a Birthday or a BARFday?”

Jinji chuckles at the comment, and suddenly gets an idea.

With that, Jinji unveils Phantisserie’s cake to the guests. Phantisserie has baked a large, scale model of Mallow out of chocolate cake, with green fondant for Mallow’s face and bag scraps; and pink and blue fondant blobs and heart. Waffle rolls take the place of the metal pipes in Mallow’s arms and hands; and two candles replace Mallow’s ears. The cake is completed by three cherries on the top; and an oozing pink sauce, giving the cake a somewhat sludgy appearance. Jinji can’t help but join in as the guests respond with ooohs and awwws.

His wish having already been granted, Mallow wastes no time thinking of a new one, and blows out the candles rapidly. Jinji proceeds to divide up the cake – making sure to leave an extra large slice for Mallow, as the Birthday boy – and, as he hands a slice to each party guest, he secretly whispers into their ears.

With the cake fully shared, Jinji begins to gee up the crowd.

“Okay, everybody! One… two… three!!!”
